Kalaloch Campground

I’ve heard over, and over again about how fantastic camping at Kalaloch is.  It’s one of the only campgrounds in the park that takes reservations. As soon as the reservation window was open, I was online booking a site. I wasn’t able to get a coveted ocean view site, but I got one nonetheless. I held this reservation like it was sacred. I didn’t even let a surprise move hold me back from camping here. I had to go.

This campground was gorgeous, and the entire region is amazing. We spent one day hiking out to the beaches of the north (by La Push), and another exploring the beaches near Kalaloch. On the way home we visited the ranger station near Lake Quinault. I’m honestly so amazed when I find such beautiful places in my very own state. Is this not the best place to live? Now, I’m hooked on the Olympic National Park.  Next year we want to hike out to Third Beach and camp there.

Any trip out to the Washington beaches is not complete without a stop at the Ranch House on the way home for some yummy BBQ.
