The Glacier Basin Trail is located within the White River Campground at the Sunrise entrance of Mount Rainier National Park. At one point, the trail was an old mining road, and it is pretty wide at times.
Along the trail, there are many beautiful waterfalls and it was full of wildflowers.
The trail gradually inclines up to the Glacier Basin Camp and just past the campground are gorgeous views of the basin area. The entire hike is 7 miles round trip.
Make sure you check the trail conditions before you go. The trail was closed a few years ago due to bear activity in the area. I didn’t see any bears but another party ahead of us did. Also, the trail has been washed out at times from the White River.
