Birch Bay State Park is located on the southern part of Birch Bay. The community of Birch Bay is small, welcoming, and definitely a great little get-away spot. The state park easy to find with accessible beach access. There are many options for a day-use activities with many picnic tables along the beach, two shelters, a basketball court, and miles of hiking trails.
The camping area is shaded, quiet, and feels very secluded. The access to the beach is just a short walk from the camp sites.
Maybe is because I’m from another small community along the Puget Sound, or maybe it’s because I have fond memories of coming to this area but I really, really like visiting this place. The area of Birch Bay is so beautiful and I just love coming here, even just for a few hours.
