I’ve slowly begin to explore my new area of Thurston County. There is a lot to see and do in the South Sound. On one of my days off recently, I checked out Watershed Park. This is a 153 acre park that is operated by the City of Olympia. There is a 1.35 mile loop that has multiple access points. We parked at the G. Eldon Marshall Parking Area, and walked down the hill and started on the trail. This is a great trail for kids and families. There are many bridges and boardwalks with cool trees to look at. This would be a hike you can do all year long, but you may want to wear rain boots in the winter.
